a winning weekend

We started the weekend early when Cookie and Papa came to town at 1pm on Friday. We had a great afternoon including a child free trip to Wal Mart with Dad, naps, and playtime before the game. Then we loaded up and headed to Greenville. We met Ashley, Rylan, and Ashley's mom outside the stadium before the game and agreed to meet on the field after the game for a picture.

What an exciting game! It was back and forth for a while and in the end we won 42-28. Still undefeated-go Hawks!

War week is over (at least for this year) and we're still friends!

Saturday I woke up about 6am to nurse Doak and put him back to sleep. Mom told me she'd get up with him after that and I didn't wake up until 9:45! It was heavenly. Saturday we hung out at home, took Cookie and Papa to the park, ran a few errands and just enjoyed each other's company. Saturday night Keri and I got to go on a date. Yippee! We went to the Harbor, ate at Gloria's, got Coldstone ice cream, and went to see Fireproof. We haven't been on a date in months so it was a much needed getaway. The movie was wonderful. We've been big fans of Sherwood Films since we saw Facing the Giants (which sums up our life pretty well by the way!) and we couldn't wait to see their newest project. It didn't disappoint. I love going to the movies and leaving feeling encouraged, uplifted, and challenged. That doesn't happen very often. Go see this movie!

Thanks to Mom and Dad for a great weekend, for loving on us and our kids, and for being such strong supporters of our family. We love you!

Congratulations on the win - what an exciting time to be surronded by family and friends - even if they were on the other side for the game. You and Ashely could be sisters - you look alot a like!
