Monday we met Ashley at the Arboretum. We signed up for the event through a Baylor alum group called Mama Bears. I saw quite a few Baylor friends as well as some friends from our old music class, library story times, and church. We enjoyed the cooler weather and the beauty of the Arboretum. 
Addie was ecstatic about all the flowers and she really, really wanted to pick some! Thankfully our repeated lessons about which flowers are okay to pick and which ones cost money have gotten through to her and she chose to just smell and admire them!
Addie LOVED the petting zoo. She tells me that she'd like to work on a farm. She was so sweet and gentle and brushed all the animals for probably 20 minutes!
Mr. Doak was so happy when he got to get down and crawl around! He thought the pumpkins were pretty cool and got really excited when I took him inside the petting zoo.

We waited (sometimes patiently, sometimes not so much) for about 40 minutes to get Addie's face painted. She loved it! (and flapped her arms like a butterfly wings on the walk to the car) We also had a great picnic lunch and joined in with Kindermusik in the park. Addie was a pro at that thanks to our music class at the Heights!We had such a good time that we're thinking of getting a membership and hope it back to the Arboretum soon!

THANKS for the invite - we had a great time! You got some really good pictures too! Funny thing, a letter arrived in the mail yesterday letting me know that I now have a membership to the Arboretum - Ben surprised me and got it for my birthday! So, now we need to go back LOTS together!
I love Fall! It makes such pretty pictures. And your kids make the pictures even prettier! Looks like a fun day!

We almost went to this! And after it's over, I've discovered several friends that ended up going! Wish we would have gone!!! Looks like you got some great photos!
