we like to party!

This New Year's Eve we knew we wouldn't be able to leave the house so we called our great friends Cody and Ashley and asked them to come over. The guys grilled burgers, the girls got to chat, and the kids played.

We bathed the boys and Rylan and Doak bonded over fleece jammies and remotes!

After the boys were in bed and after we got Addie medicated and asleep we played Cranium and had the greatest time. The girls won of course!

At midnight we brought out the bubbly and toasted red neck style!

We never ever used our fancy champagne flutes (or the glassware that matched our china) so I sold it! Guess I should have kept a few glasses for an occasion such as this!

And all that toasting led to. . .

Just kidding! It was only sparkling cider!

There are times that Keri and I would love to get all dressed up and go somewhere fancy. But I think that sometimes it's even better to stay home in comfy clothes and enjoy the company of good friends!

Happy New Year!

That is exactly how we did it and I loved it!! We had some friends over -we watched football and ate steaks! I wanted to play games - but we never got to it. Cranium is a blas!!

Ya'll crack me up! What a fun New Year's AND sweet family Christmas Eve and morning - I can tell that ya'll cherish and truly take advantage of times together. Thanks for your comment - I actually already read the blog you mentioned and enjoy it - and how neat of God to have a post on the very day that I needed to read it! Let's get together before I pop!
