Addie had a pretty good day, ate a little for lunch and dinner, and ate ice cream of course! By the end of the evening she was in lots of pain. Up until this evening we had just been giving her tylenol every 4 or 5 hours but I could tell it wasn't going to be enough this night. So Keri and our friend Cody left our happening New Year's Eve party to fill Addie's pain med prescription. She woke up a few more times in the night in pain.
Day four
Day four was rough. She was in obvious pain throughout the day. And, being so little, she's not great at expressing her pain so there was lots of crying and whining while Keri and I tried to interpret and figure out what to do to help her! She didn't eat much today except a milkshake and pancakes. By about 6pm Addie had reached the breaking point. She turned down a bath and asked to go to bed around 6:30. Keri and I got a little bit of lortab in her and she slept pretty well, only waking once or twice for some tylenol or to be rocked and snuggled by Mommy.
Day five
Nanna and Pop Pop were here to help with the kids. Addie played quite a bit today and even ventured outside in the warm weather. She ate pancakes for breakfast but didn't eat much at all today. I made the mistake of giving her tylenol at bedtime instead of lortab and she's already been up once in pain. I rocked her back to sleep and am hoping that the tylenol keeps working for a few more hours!
