as good as new

It's official-Addie is feeling great! Monday night she slept all night (insert the dance of joy here) and Tuesday she woke up happy and ate great all day without much pain at all.

the first time she ate her whole meal in almost a week!

She slept all night again Tuesday night and had a great day today. I'm so glad she's recovered and we can get back to our fun, normal life!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to:

Jack and Dianna who spent 3 days here cooking, cleaning, bathing,
reading, playing, walking, and loving on Addie and the whole family. What a treat!

And Cookie for coming up for the surgery, keeping Doak, playing, bathing,
cooking, entertaining and keeping me sane! (and Papa who sent prayers and gifts!)

Today we had warm weather again with a high of 65 or 70. We played outside and Doak found some rain water collected in our water table. It was so dirty but he was thrilled to be playing in it. So I dumped it, did a quick wash with soap and water and refilled it. He and Addie played for about 30 minutes and were soaked by the time we came in. Here's the scene that they replayed over and over:

Doak enthusiastically says "please!"

and requests a drink of water from Addie

Addie is happy to serve him

I can already tell it's going to be a fun spring and summer. Doak loves being outside and lunges for the door anytime I let Kylie out. I can just picture the kids running through the slip and slide, to the pool and playing in the sandbox for hours each day!

and a story and a few random pictures of our big 13 month old boy:
A few days ago I took a pillow in and laid down on the playroom floor while the kids played around me. Sweet Doak crawled over and laid down on my pillow, then readjusted and laid down on my stomach and just hung out for a while with me. I love that sweet boy!

that's one of the ways i sneak in some rest...laying down on the floor or bed and letting the girls crawl on me! rosie likes to lay on my chest and snuggle a lot. i love that!

you make me SO EXCITED to be having a boy, and you're not even trying to. :0) i really appreciate the encouragement! i cannot wait to hold his sweet little self. :0)
