15 seconds later the announcer says, "Oh, the kick was good. We're going into overtime."
The Hawks won the coin toss and chose to get the ball second. The Hawks held the Mustangs and we finally got our turn with the ball. First play, the amazing running back scored and the announcer said, "Touchdown! The Hawks have won!"
15 seconds later the announcer says, "Oh there is a flag and the touchdown is being called back."
The Hawks have 2 or 3 more downs and end up scoring again. The announcer tenatively calls it a victory, but I held my breath. Sure enough there was some drama about a Hawk player taking his helmet off. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but goodness I almost had a heart attack! Finally things got straightened out and the Hawks did win 56-49.
Oh. my. goodness. I'm actually thankful that Addie was sick and we had to stay here. I got to pay attention to the game!
Addie is doing well by the way. Her main problem now is that her nose is running non stop. It doesn't sound like a serious problem, but it is. Sweet little girl-her nose and cheeks are red and raw and we are officially out of kleenexes!
Since I'm up waiting on Keri to get home to get the inside scoop on the crazy game I'll share a few pictures from the last few days.
Cookie and Papa sent Addie flowers. They really know the way to this girl's heart! Notice the watery eyes.
I think this was Thursday. The first day of not stop snot or runny nose-it as my mom calls it.
Her poor nose and cheeks were so red. We put some Vitamin A & D Ointment on them and she insisted on a band aid too.Thursday night I was trying to decide what we would pick up for dinner. (No food at home + hubby working late + can't go to the store with contagious child = take out every night this week). Addie really wanted macaroni and cheese. I called Black Eyed Pea and asked if they could possibly bring it out to my car since Addie was sick. The girl was so nice and was happy to do it.
Addie fell asleep on the way to Black Eyed Pea. The sun was really bothering her eyes so she was sporting her shades and a hat. I think the band aid and the sock gloves really bring the outfit together don't you?
Today (Friday) I dressed us in real clothes because I was tired of feeling like we were living in a sick ward. I made up an excuse to get out of the house. I got Addie a milkshake, a tea for me, and dropped some bows in the mail. Again, the sun was bothering Addie so she got out her shades and hat. And this time she cried and cried for a band aid for her poor nose. So I got her the only band aid left in the house. And I took a picture of her. Because I needed to laugh or I was going to cry!
Another pile of kleenexes while watching Enchanted tonight.I'm praying that she doesn't have a fever tonight. If she's fever free tonight then tomorrow it will be 48 hours without a fever and we're hitting the town. Watch out Target-here we come!

Poor Poor Addie - And Poor Mommy - the pictures really bring it to life how your week has been. We will keep you in our prayers. Don't those announcers about do you in. So glad the Hawks are still undefeated!! Whoo Hoo! Maybe we can may it to one of your playoff games.
oh my goodness! poor girl. she looks so pitiful. i hope she's feeling better.
Goodness Addie...I didn't know a nose could get that red! I love your outfit inthe carseat. Who says a girl can't be fashionable while she's sick? Tell your mommy that once you and Rylan are both no longer walking germs we'll have to get together to play.
Poor sweet Addie! :( We are all fighting runny noses here...I think its allergies at our house. Gunnar just had 4 shots this morning for his 1 year check up :( poor little guy.
Addie looks so big! I just can't get over it!
Way to go Hawks!!!
She looks precious in her misery at least.
