hello second trimester!

Well this pregnancy seems to be flying by! This week I hit the second trimester and I'm now 13 weeks and a few days. I'm feeling pretty good. I only got sick one time during the first trimester which is amazing! I do find that I have to eat frequently or I start to feel starving/nauseated at the same time! We have now seen this little one 3 times during various ultrasounds making baby #3 the most photographed in utero of all our children.

Cravings lately: Taco Bueno, Mellow Mushroom pizza, steak
I've also had quite a few food aversions. I made chicken and rice a few weeks ago and the smell lingered in the house the next day. Every time I walked in the door I felt sick! I used my new scentsy burner and now anytime I turn it on I think of the chicken and rice and get nauseated. Gotta switch to a new scent for a while. I'm having a hard time finding things to drink. I drink lots of water, but in the afternoon I just need something with a little flavor. Cokes are out and so are diet drinks. Lately I've been making Lipton Iced Green Tea with Peach.

And here's a belly picture of me tonight at 13 weeks 3 days. Definitely showing!

Good for you staying caffeine free completely! (I assume that's why cokes are out.) You look so cute!

Oh Em! I'm not that noble! I have been a one a day coke drinker forever.....but they just taste bad now. Also the more I learn about food, and in this case, HFCS, I have to change what I eat because I can't knowingly continue to eat stuff that's horrible for me.

Ah! Well, that makes more sense! As soon as I wrote my comment above, I thought, "Why can't she drink caffeine-free coke?!" :-) I can't imagine Coke tasting bad, but you're right about all the yuckies in it. Oohh-- I guess we could all switch to the Mexican coke with the real sugar in it. (You know-- after they start tasting good again!)
