Sweet Doak,
Two already? I can't believe it! You act like such a big boy, but it doesn't seem like long ago that you were born. You are such a happy boy and you love life. You wake up ready to face the world and go no stop from morning til night! Thank goodness you still nap and you're a good sleeper at night too. I know your busy days make you tired!
You love to play with cars! Your favorites are Liting Keen (Lighning McQueen) and your dump tucts (dump trucks). You also love trains, especially trains with multiple cars that hook together.
You are becoming a big fan of books-big kid books, not board books. You often sit with me and Addie through a whole story! That makes this family of readers so proud!
You love to play with Addie. Well, honestly you guys either play really well together or you fight like cats and dogs! But when you are sweet to your sister it melts my heart. You bring Addie her water cup before you drink out of your own cup. You share snacks, cars, and love to giggle with your sissy in the bathtub!
You also love to play with friends at our house or church. When we drive to church you say, "I pay wif my fends?" We love to see your kind heart in the friendships that God has given you!
You are becoming a Daddy's boy. Recently you chose to spend the whole day out with Daddy and you loved having all his attention!
You still love your blankies and need them for nap time and bed time, as well as other times in the day when you get sad. Your long standing favorite blankie is your 'bon bettine' (brown blankie).
Doak you are funny! You love to laugh and keep us laughing too. Lately you've been repeating things we say. I love it when you tell me (in a nice voice) to 'be nice'! When you get excited about something you say, 'oh boy!' and bounce up and down.
You are speaking so well! We counted a 9 word sentence the other day. I think you take after your Daddy and sister in your verbal ability. Yesterday while eating a candy cane you said, "this tandy tane is dewicious!" Tonight I was quizzing you during bathtime. Here's a replay of our conversation.
