BIG milestones

IMG_8836

Doak had a BIG milestone day that I have yet to blog about.
On December 1st Doak started school! He is going to Mother's Day out
on Tuesday and Thursday just like his big sister and is loving it! ****

The evening before he started school we got out his
nap mat and he and Addie practiced for rest time.

And in other BIG news, make that HUGE news, this boy went all day long using
the potty with not one accident! Bet you didn't know we were potty training,
because we just bought the potty a week ago. He's doing so well and we're so
proud (and relieved that its been so easy!) Way to go Doak!

And this BIG girl is 4.5 today! During the past week while Doak has been using the potty he earned m&m's his successes. Addie of course wouldn't miss out on chocolate so I told her she could get an m&m if she practiced writing her name for me. She is a smart little girl and loves to read and learn but she fights anytime we try to practice writing. So here is some of her work from today. She put Grace in front of Addie and the 'c' and 'e' are backwards but she's doing great!

****Doak wasn't the only member of the family who started back to school. I'm now the p.e. teacher at the kids' school and it is a wonderful job! Just call me Coach Natalie!

I'm so impressed about the potty training! I've been dreading starting Charlie. You'll have to share your secret to success. :)
I hope your new job is going well!

That is so funny about the PE teacher - I bet you are great at that!! I want to go back to PE at that age! Great job on the potty training - can you come visit us and get Beclynn on track. It is still day to day with her. Next week while they are home with me everyday for two weeks we are going full out big girl panties - I hope that helps get things going!!

Coach Natalie! I love it - reminds me of our PE class at Baylor! Sounds like a perfect job at the same school as the kids - although, I am really missing hanging out together. :) Way to go Doak on potty training!!!
