celebrating Doak!

This year we decided to change things up a bit for Doak's birthday. Instead of a big party we had a family fun day. Keri took the day off and we loved having the whole family together to celebrate Doak. Doak's big present this year (from Cookie and Papa and us) was a train table. As soon as Doak woke up (at 6:30) Keri and I jumped up so we could see his reaction to this fun present!



He loved it and played with it for hours that morning!







Daddy and Addie are the late sleepers in this family and after a while of train play with Doak Daddy went back to sleep with Addie!



When Addie woke up she gave Doak the gift she picked out- a set of cars from the movie Cars. Look at this sweet thank you hug!



Next up was a present from our sweet friends the Davis family.



It was a cool fireman set complete with hat, belt, badge, and ax. Another big hit!

After we all ate a breakfast of Doak's favorite chocolate chip nanny bread (banana bread) we drove to Northpark Mall to see the train display.

After seeing the train display, watching a puppet show, and eating lunch at Northpark we drove a few miles to Sprinkles Bakery to try out their famous cupcakes!

Our best buddies Cody, Ashley, Rylan, and Hudson came over for Doak's birthday dinner and the kids and adults loved having some time together!

I hope this is a birthday Doak will always remember!
