wonderful wedding weekend

Last weekend we made a road trip to Austin to see my longtime friend Kristin marry Clay. Mom and Dad met us in Austin and we made a weekend out of it. Since our anniversary was last Sunday Mom and Dad took the kids for the evening and we got to stay out past curfew and enjoy some fun grown up time!

Doak loved hanging out with Cookie and Papa

he slept through the whole wedding!

As I'm sure you can imagine Addie was more than thrilled to get dressed up in a new dress and her shiny shoes. She also loved exploring the beautiful Villa where the wedding was held.

We loved catching up with old friends Annalee and baby Adelaide,
Sarah Beth (and we finally got to meet Joe!) and Kristin

We love going to weddings and usually use it as a time to remember our vows that we said 6 years ago. This was a perfect evening (since it was our "anniversary eve"). Keri I love you and thanks for dancing with me even though I still have no rhythm!

Super cute dress! What a great family picture too - I'm so glad you and Keri got some quality time away. See you sometime this month!

LOVE the dress!

I may be taking the girls to Austin with J while he's there for a conference coming up. If you have kid-friendly suggestions of things to do outside of the stuff y'all did with Doak and Addie, please let me know! (I took note of the things y'all did with them.)

I'm thinking/praying about whether or not it's a good idea to go it alone out of town with the kiddos for 3 days while J's in meetings. But at least we'd be together in the evenings.
