The move went really well. Many, many thanks to Jack and Dianna, Delbert, Grandma and Grandad, Mom and Dad, and Chad and Christi for your help and support-what a blessing! Thursday night we stayed up way too late getting things ready for the movers. It's easy to get sidetracked-I know part of that night was spent going through old pictures and at midnight what was I doing? Packing? No. Cleaning? No, I was organizing the 4 huge rolling carts of ribbon and craft supplies that I have. Crazy I know! Somehow we got it all packed and managed to get a few hours of sleep before the movers came Friday morning. Due to our late night, we were all a little slow in getting up Friday morning. Here's a picture I took of my sleeping family at about 7:30am.
Ten minutes later I finally got up, took Addie to the potty, changed Doak's diaper and heard the moving van pull up. Keri was still in bed, we were all still in our pjs! Oops! Keri got up quickly and I sequestered the kids in the bathroom while I got ready for the day. Addie spent the day at MDO which worked out perfectly. When I picked her up I told her we had to go pick up a few things at our old house and then we'd go to our new house and see her new room. Precious girl said, "Are we going to our Hawk house?". Life revolves around Keri's job around here and she knew that our old house was our SGHS "Colonel house" and she dubbed our new house "the Hawk house". We immediately put the kids' rooms together and once they were in bed I drove back to our Colonel house and met my sweet Momma there. After working hard all week she drove 3.5 hours to come and help me clean our old house and set up the new house-THANK YOU Mom! We unpacked slowly (everything takes longer with 2 little ones around!) and managed to get the kitchen and the playroom mostly finished by Sunday. Chad and Christi came out to help us Sunday night and we enjoyed having some fun time with them.
We love it here already. I just can't believe how God has blessed us. For a few weeks I was so bummed that Keri didn't get the other job and I was really pouting about moving out here. God is so good. He is merciful and gracious.

whirlwind! i'll sympathize with you on the nightmare of packing & moving...yuck! sounds like you're ahead of me on getting re-settled!
maybe addie has a princess wand she can wave to make everything jump in the cabinets & organize itself. and, if she does, i'd be interested in borrowing it! :)
