Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up.
Last April we had a new beginning. It was a little scary to move to a small town knowing no one. It sounds silly now, but I was afraid that there wouldn't be anyone here 'like me' and that friends might be hard to come by. I met Angie soon after we moved here and just had to stop right then and there and thank God! We hit it off right away. We have like backgrounds, similar families, and having her as a friend here made it feel like home.
This year it's Angie's turn for a new beginning. Her family is moving and her husband, once our pastor, will now be the lead pastor at a big church in Houston. I'm praying for the Werleys that God will use them in a powerful way, that they will find true friends in their new town, and that hope would float up for them in Houston. Our women's ministry from church had a sweet going away celebration for Angie-look at all these wonderful women! I call them all my friends and am so thankful for their friendships.
