The past year has held lots of
vehicle woes for us. First my Honda Odyssey needed a new
transmission and other costly repairs. We decided to wait as long as we could to sell it and Keri graciously traded me his Tahoe so I would not have to drive an unreliable van. (this was about 2 weeks before Brock was born by the way). There finally came a day in December when Keri felt the van's transmission was about to
bite the dust. So we sold it to Car Max and lived with one vehicle for a while. A few weeks later Keri
borrowed his dad's truck and we were blessed to be able to use that for a few months while we saved some money. We were thrilled when Keri's dad came home from Iraq early, but that meant we had to
find another vehicle quickly. Keri's grandfather had an extra car that we used for about 6 weeks. This summer it became clear to us that we needed to
go ahead and purchase something for Keri. The question was should we buy him a $2000 junk car (a la Dave Ramsey) or should we spend a little more to get something that he could keep for 10+ years?
We decided to pay a little more money now so we could keep this truck for a
long while. We were afraid of all the problems that come along with a $2000 car and decided this would be best for our family right now.
I'm so excited for Keri to have a truck again. He has worked so hard this year, even taking on a second (or should I say third?) job to provide for our family. He has sacrificed so much and it makes me smile to see him pull up every night in his big red truck.

I'm not going to show this to Seth or he'll be jealous! Sorry for all your vehicular woes, but yay for a new truck!
It really is a good looking truck!
