A few weeks ago, the kids and I drove to Abilene for a much anticipated celebration- a retirement party for Cookie! It was such a joy to be there with Mom and Dad. We visited with many of Mom's colleagues and past students as they came by to tell Mom thank you for her hard work. She has taught Kindergarten at the same school since 1992. Mom had all of her class pictures and it was hilarious to see how her clothes and hairstyle changed through the years.
I'm so proud of you Mom! Happy Retirement! You accomplished so much during your years as a teacher and we know you will continue to bless the lives of those around you. We're really excited to have a full time Cookie now!

what, miss debby retired?? i was planning on moving back to abilene so my kids could be in her kindergarten class! jk, that's awesome and so much fun that you guys will have her around more.
