A few weeks ago Keri and Doak were out in the backyard picking up outdoor toys when I heard some commotion on the back porch. I could tell they found something, but I figured it was a tiny spider or roly poly as those are commonly captured in our yard these days. I peeked out and saw that they had caught a frog! Addie hadn't been feeling good that afternoon, so she was in the bathtub at the time. When I saw the frog I ran to get her out of the tub because I knew she would be so excited.
This girl has no fear of animals! She picked it right up and held it for quite a while.
She came to show me the frog and got just a little too close for my liking. So, like any good city girl, I screamed and ran away as fast as I could. The kids thought that was hilarious and in the past 2 weeks I can't count how many times I've heard Addie say, "Mom can I tell (insert name of total stranger, teacher, church friend, etc) how you freaked out when I showed you the frog?"
I love my little princess. And even though I tend to freak out about wild creatures, I'm glad Addie is a well rounded princess who loves all things in nature....even frogs.
