Yes, he is FIVE months old.
Yes, I know that's ridiculously late!
I had intended to do it much, much earlier, but you know how that goes. Life is crazy busy, and it's just easy to nurse him! I have left him many times in the evening for a few hours and many early Sunday mornings for worship team at church but each time he has been fine to wait for me instead of taking a bottle.
The big kids were so excited to give Brock a bottle. Addie got the first turn. Sweet picture : )
Doak wanted to hold the bottle but not Brock, and he was being very wild and squirmy so I'm sure that didn't help the situation!
For a few minutes Brock thought taking a bottle was pretty cool-although he wasn't really drinking it, just chewing on it and watching Addie and Doak. Then he quickly started to get frustrated and wanted nothing to do with the bottle.
So Keri took a turn.
He'd had enough after about 5 seconds.
Keri tried a few more times, but Brock wasn't having it. So I scooped up my baby boy and nursed him instead. I'm not giving up yet, but I haven't tried a bottle again. Life's too busy-which is how I got in this situation in the first place! Here's hoping he takes to baby food a little easier!

Bummer... sorry it didn't work out. Claire sometimes took the playtex drop-ins bottle (something about the latex nipple made it better from my research) but it always leaked so I hated it. Right now (at 10 months) she'll only take the premade 2 oz. Similac tiny bottles. They are super expensive, but I keep buying them for road trips or when I have to be away from her... Of course, she wouldn't even take those until about 3 weeks ago. Good luck!
The look on his face in the first and last picture are priceless! You are such a good mommy!
