Last week Keri heard from one of his former players, Nick Florence. Nick is a freshman at Baylor and called to tell Keri that he would be playing this week! He hadn't played at all until the week before, but due to injuries in the first string QB, Nick would not only play but mostly likely start! We jumped on the chance to go watch him play and take the kids to a Baylor game. Keri always works weekends during football season so it had been 8 years since our last trip to Floyd Casey Stadium to see a game. The kids loved watching the game, and it was such fun to have a little family time together. We were thrilled to see Baylor win big, something that they didn't do much of in our college days!
Did I mention it was a cold, wet game?
We came prepared with our umbrellas and pink ponchos, but mostof the rain was before we arrived so we stayed pretty dry!
We hung out with Nick's family after the game while waiting for our winningQB to come out from the locker room. Nick did an awesome job and led the
Bears to a big victory and we're so glad we got to go down and be there for it!
