Monday night the Homecoming celebration commenced with a parade and fireworks. The kids and I met Keri up at school and had the best time watching all the floats pass by. Addie and Doak collected candy, necklaces, and we even got a basketball signed by the girls' basketball team. After the parade we ate dinner on the school grounds and walked to the football practice field to watch a few drill teams and the band perform.
Keri spent a half hour in the dunk tank! Yes, he got dunked numerous times, and no, I didn't dunk him. He asked me not to and I knew if I did I would somehow end up wet myself!

The evening ended with a great fireworks show! Doak watched with Keri and Addie watched with her friend Avery. What a fun night!
game 7
RHHS vs Royse City
WON 31-24

This week's game was really special because Nanna came with us!
And Uncle Mike surprised us at the game, so we really enjoyed
catching up with them. And hey, it's always a good night when the Hawks win!

The best part of the night is going on the field after the game
and watching Doak and Addie run into his arms!

Cute pictures - loved Addie's mum and H on her face -the girls love getting their face painted at the games too. I would have loved a homecoming parade! I figured a small town would for sure have one - but they didn't. Looks like you guys are having a great season.
