Addie is four!

Sweet, sweet Addie! How in the world are you four years old already? It seems like just yesterday that we found out that we were pregnant with our first child. Where did the years go? You are an amazing blessing, a gift from God. You truly are becoming a young lady and, while we miss our baby, we love seeing you grow and change. At four years old you are kind, sweet, spunky, friendly, and outgoing. You love to play inside or out and are a physical girl. You love to dance and sing. You still love all things related to princesses or dress up. Reading is a passion of yours, and while you can't read on your own yet, you love to make up stories, and retell your favorite books. Each day you become more responsible-putting your dishes in the sink, making your bed, helping around the house, buckling your car seat-we can really see how much you love to help and do 'big girl' things! You are a joy to be around and we treasure each day with you!

Addie's birthday started out bright and early Sunday, June 14th. She woke up to ballons in her room, doorway and filling the kitchen. After morning hugs and birthday cheers we got down to the business of opening a few presents.

After a few test rides the whole family quickly got ready for church so we could stop for breakfast at the donut shop. Addie has had maybe 5 donuts in her life so this was a big treat!

After a great morning at church we let Addie pick a place for lunch. She may be starting a new tradition-she picked Culver's just like last year.

Addie's friend Gracie and her family went with us-we always love hanging out with them!

After resting for a while at home we went to our Sunday School class' swim party.

What a fun day! We finished off the day by picking up Ami, Kiran, and Ellery from the airport for a week long visit! I don't think her birthday could have been any better! Happy birthday sweet Addie!
