spring break

And what a great break it has been!
The best part of course is having Keri home!
Here's a wrap up of our week:

Saturday
The whole family went to Lake Pointe church to play and then to Chick Fil A for lunch. Ashley, Cody, and Rylan came over to play and catch up. It was a fun, crazy time and we can't wait until baby girl Salyers joins in on the fun this fall! Chad and Christi came over and brought dinner with them. We made cookies, put the kids to bed and then played games-guys against girls!

Sunday
Nanna and Pop Pop came over after church-yeah! They took the kids to the park to play while I ran errands and spent a gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket. Man I love shopping alone! Can you tell both kids spent their time playing in the sand at the park?

Monday
The kids and I went to the Arboretum with Jana, Grace, Preston, Jennifer, Alexandra and Avery. These are all friends from church/school/dance. The 3 little girls had a blast playing together. I have to admit that this trip stressed me out and we left with both my kids crying! But I will be brave enough to go back again, just better prepared next time!

Tuesday and Wednesday
We drove out to Amy and Bryan's and spent our days playing in the backyard, eating yummy homecooked meals, and enjoying family! I love their house and their land. I think even Kylie was sold on being a 'country dog'!

Thursday
Keri had morning track practice and the kids and I lounged in jammies for most of the morning. We took a walk around the neighborhood to pick 'sunflowers' (aka dandelions) and enjoy the warm air. We also had a fun family trip to the grocery store and Keri grilled out dinner-yum! (No pictures though)

Friday
Keri had track practice again and he also met up with an old coaching buddy and took a former player to lunch. The kids and I ran some errands and went to the library. We spent the afternoon outside. Friday night Keri took Addie to the Hawk baseball game and Doak and I spent the evening playing in the backyard. After Doak went to bed I read a little on my book for the month, Blue Like Jazz.

What a great week! I'm so happy we still live on a school calendar!
