Chris is reading The Shack right now and says it is awesome -I'm going to read it after him. I'm still reading Multiple Blessings and loving it. My friend Rachel - a fellow Coaches wife reads a lot and always posts about them if you want to check out her blog too. http://amrine.blogspot.com/2009/02/book-club.html

I read the Shack and it was amazing. It's a slow read just simply because it challenges you. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm working through Sacred Parenting right now, and it's really impacting me. I've heard Sacred Marriage is good, too.

Yes, several:
East of Eden, Pilgrim At Tinker Creek, Blue Like Jazz, Through Painted Deserts, Ragamuffin Gospel (read this AT LEAST once a year...), Confessions of an Amateur Believer, I Capture the Castle, Peace Like a River

The Pianist was extremely eye-opening and powerful to me.

I highly recommend Family Driven Faith (Baucham).

A few great parenting books are Shepherding a Child's Heart (Tripp), The Duties of Parents (Ryle) and Child Training Tips (Bradley).

Just a little warning on The Shack...I got a little over halfway through it and had to stop. There's a lot of very errant theology in it, so be discerning as you read. I know so many folks who say it changed their life, but you need to be very careful what changes your life when it's not based in Scripture. Here's a good review on it: http://www.challies.com/archives/book-reviews/the-shack-by-william-p-young.php
