BLACK FRIDAY

I know to most people Black Friday means waking up at 4am and standing in line at Wal Mart to get great deals on Christmas gifts. But to our family this year, Black Friday meant driving to Texas Stadium in our Hawk BLACK out shirts to BEAT THE ENNIS LIONS!

That's right, we won 17-14!

We had so many people come out and watch-
Jack, Dianna, Uncle Mark, Cookie, Papa, Uncle Mike, Larry, and Delbert to name a few!
Kyle (who coaches at The Colony where we were from 2005-2007), Addie, Keri, Doak, and Papa.
Addie and Keri's dad Delbert

I still can't believe that we won! The game was another thriller and I was on the edge of my seat (or maybe I was standing up screaming) to the very end! I can't even tell you how exciting this is for the kids, the coaches, and the community. The stands were packed with fans who came in all black and held posters that said, "We Believe". And we do believe!

Next up: Quarter finals. We play Sulphur Springs Friday, December 5th at 7:30 at Texas Stadium. Check out pictures and more info at the Hawk website.

Good luck - hopefully we can make this one!! The entire football staff from Sulpher Springs was at Coaches Outreach with us. They all seem like great coaches - I bet the game will be great!! Congratulations again on the big win!! So sad we missed such a great game!!

i am thrilled for y'all! i was watching the updates last night and so excited when i saw the outcome.

i know this is a sweet time with all of the success. God impressed upon me to pray for you today and your strength--it might also be hard to have keri working so hard and you working "overtime" with addie and doak in the extended season. so i'm praying for your strength to take care of YOU, to be the most supportive wife you can be, and the best mom you can be. but what a great benefit--a wonderful winning season! i'm also praying that the hawks take it all the way!
