hot summer days

What can you do when the temperature in Texas is over 100? You've got to find some water to cool off! Today Ashley and Rylan joined us on a trip to Surf and Swim in Garland. All the kids loved it and I think Ashley and I enjoyed the cool water too!

Addie got a slip and slide for her birthday and we finally got it out this last weekend. (thanks Lisa and Mike for the great gift!) Addie was thrilled once Keri got it set up but she couldn't quite figure out the whole run and slide motion. So, being the awesome Daddy that he is, Keri took off his shirt and showed her how it was done.

Then Keri threw her down the slide a few times. . .

and she quickly had it all figured out!

By the end of the afternoon the whole family ended up on the slip and slide! What fun!
