We spent the past week at
Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri celebrating my Grandad's 80th birthday. A great time was had by all and we LOVED hanging out with my extended family.
I think I stayed there one time before after summer camp at Kanakuk. Laura, if you're there am I right? Did we stay there the year your parents picked us up?
Addie hanging out on the back porch of our cabin with Papa. Ami had the brilliant idea to bring her kids' bikes, so I threw Addie's in too. They had so much fun riding out on the back deck!
Big Cedar has quite a few pools and we visited 2 different
pools that were kid friendly and fun for the adults.
Ellery is walking now and had so much fun playing in the wading pool.
Papa loves to swim and play with the kids.
We spent 2 days out on the lake with boats and jet skis. Addie rode with Keri and had a blast.
Dad and I took Kiran and Addie on the tube, then later in the week Jeff and Keri took the kids out again in the tube.
Doak looked hilarious in his padded swimsuit and hat!
Addie and my cousin Alix both sported cute dresses for Grandad's party.
Ellery and Addie wore their matching dresses made my Ma.
After the party we split into teams for some party games. Here is the winning team-Keri, Doak, my cousin Tyler, Aunt Sheila, Mike (my cousin Ashley's hubby) and Grandad
We had to think of as many uses as we could for a bandanna.
Addie wore her's Punky Brewster style on her knees.
Almost every afternoon Ma came over and read to Addie or Addie
went over to Ma and Pa's cabin for her big girl storytime.
Each family took a turn planning dinner for everyone. The food was so good!

The last day there we had professional pictures taken outside on the grounds.
They turned out so good! We dressed in red, blue, white and khaki. We don't
have the pro pictures yet, but here are some we took after the photo shoot.
What a fun time with such fun family. We love you and miss you all already!

Nick and I absolutely love Big Cedar. That is where we got engaged and now try to spend a weekend or two there each year. Annabelle has been twice and the last time we went we rented a cabin. That is definitely the way to go. No more staying in a lodge for us! Table Rock is my favorite lake too. I'm glad y'all had such a good time. Doak is looking so much like you Natalie! What cuties you have.

You are right...We stayed at Big Cedar the summer that you and I were both miserably homesick at Kanakuk!
What a cool, fun family! I looks like you definitely enjoyed yourselves! Our family reunion is always at Table Rock Lake (yet something else you and I have in common) - I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at Big Cedar but have never gotten to - maybe someday!
