We arrived just in time for the 10 am scrimmage as the boys were taking the field. It was already quite warm and in no time at all we were sweating, drinking ice water, eating ice, and making trips back to the car for sunglasses and shade umbrellas. I sat with another coach's wife and the kids had a great time with a friend from church and some teenager girls sitting nearby.

Coach T (front and center in the white hat) called a great game! They didn't keep score officially but we won and averaged one score every 6 plays...which is awesome!

We were all so hot and sweaty, as evidenced by these pictures of the kids. Doak, is cupping his hands around his mouth to cheer and say hi to Daddy on the field.

Addie loved hanging out with the teenage girls and was thankful for the shade of her Veggie Tales umbrella.
Eventually we sought out shade under the bleachers and when the scrimmage was over we stopped and got some ice cold drinks for the ride home. We love football season, but think that evening games will be much more enjoyable. We're so proud of Keri and all his hard work as Offensive Coordinator. Here's to a winning season!
