celebrating Easter

We had such fun dying eggs this year!

I saw a great tip in Family Fun magazine to put the eggs inside a whisk to make it easier for little hands. They should have added the tip to put the dye in deep cups and not bowls! Half our eggs were colored and half weren't-oh well we know for next year!

I love this sweet face-she wouldn't smile for the camera but I caught her off guard in this one!

Oh Mr. Doak-what a sweet precious boy!

Doak decorated his eggs with Lightning McQueen stickers and was so proud.

We had a few eggs that cracked while they were boiling and weren't good enough to decorate. I was about to throw them away when I decided to see if the kids would want to eat one. They've never had a hard boiled egg before (I never make them because Keri and I aren't big fans of them). Doak wasn't interested but Addie was. She ate the whole thing!

The Sunday before Easter our Sunday school class met after church for a picnic and egg hunt. It was a chilly day but the kids had so much fun hunting eggs, eating some candy, and seeing friends.

What fun - loved all the picks - thanks for the whisk tip - I'm going to try that out next year. I usually just let them pick the colors and then I drop them in the cups and take them out. But it would be fun to let them get to do that part too.
