baby #3 first trimester

7 WEEKS

So far I'm feeling really good! No real morning sickness to speak of so far. I've been extra tired and have been putting myself to bed early and I've loved every minute of extra sleep the past few weeks! I have had my first official craving-ice water. I especially love it in a Sonic cup with LOTS of ice!

Last week I had an appointment for an ultrasound to check on baby #3. I could see the flicker of this baby's heart and was also able to hear the heartbeat. That sweet sound never grows old! My due date is November 30, which was also my due date with Doak! Doak and the baby will be exactly 3 years apart-I think that's pretty cool!

Big sister Addie and big brother Doak are thrilled about the baby! Addie frequently says, "Mom, can I give you and the new baby a hug? One for Mommy, one for baby!" And Doak asks me, "Can I give your baby love?" or points to my stomach and says "Is that your baby?" I have no doubt that this baby will be loved!

We're already starting to talk baby names. It's been so fun to find our lists of favorite names from the first two pregnancies and think about new names. I borrowed a new baby name book and am enjoying reading it in the evenings and starring my favorites. If you ask the kids they might recommend Lightning, Cinderella, or Cruella de Vil. Addie suggested that last one today and we had to have a serious talk about that!

So far I don't think my belly has grown too much. I had a little extra padding to begin with so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I notice a definite baby bump!

Kristin I remember you saying that! I may look into the tumbler....my problem is that I don't want ice from my ice maker...sonic ice for me! I bought a bag of ice at the grocery store this week and it's doing the job pretty well though!

What a sweet post! You need to stock yuor freezer with the bags of ice from Sonic - in case you get a crazing at some unreasonable hour. ;)
