i love a rainy day!

Monday was a rainy day here at the Hawk house. The kids and I were also feeling a little sick, so we decided to stay in our pjs and spend the day at home.

Doak found one of Addie's favorite toys and entertained himself on the kitchen floor for quite some time.

Addie was quietly playing in the ball pit-another favorite rainy day activity-in the dining room. When I walked in to check on her I found her lounging on the side pretending to be asleep. When asked what she was doing she said, "I'm waiting for my prince to come and wake me up!"
Oh that girl never ceases to surprise me!

After she realized Prince Doak wasn't coming anytime soon she decided to make a move to the playroom and dance with some of her flowers from her dance recital.*

I love this picture! We're working on teaching Doak that milk stays in the kitchen.
So he and Addie can now be found sitting down on the kitchen rug for a drink break!
