They are ceramic balls from a shelf in his room. He noticed them about a month ago and said, "bah bah" over and over and practically squealed with delight the first time I unscrewed them from the shelf. He's had one in his hand every day since!

In other news, I neglected to mention that sweet Doak had tubes put in last Friday. After 7 ear infections in under a year we decided it was time for a little relief for our boy! The surgery went smoothly and we see a big difference in him already. Now if only his parents could remember those earplugs at bathtime! (Don't worry Chad, we've used them at every bath. But we have had to pull him out mid-bath a few times to put them in when we've forgotten! Oops!)
