Donuts with Dad

Fridays are a special day to this family. Not because it's the last day of the work/school week, or because it's game day, but because it's the day that Daddy takes the big kids to school. This tradition started when Addie was in kindergarten and Keri was so happy to start it up again now that he and the kids are in the same district. On the way to school they stop at the donut shop where Daddy lets Addie and Doak pick a donut and milk. I'm sure Keri gets kolaches. :) They eat together then Keri takes the kids to school-walking them all the way in, giving a hug and I-love-yous and I'm sure a reminder to work hard and be a good leader.

Addie, Doak, and Brock I hope you are always aware of how much your Daddy loves you and what a blessing it is to have him so involved in your life!

That's amazing that he can do that! Does the high school have a later start time than the other schools? High school starts at something like 7:25 here so Seth is out the door an hour before the kids are even awake!

High school starts at 8, but Keri doesn't have a first period. Most days he goes in early for JH practice, film and weights. Fridays he doesn't have to, so it's the perfect time for him to spend with the kids. But most days he is gone by 6:30 am. :)
