Rainy weather didn't keep us away from the Mustangs third game.

We came ready to cheer loud!

And wearing our red and black.

Cookie came in for the weekend and, since our varsity game was on a Thursday night, arrived early afternoon on Thursday.

The game was a check in the win column. But our hearts and minds were not on the game. Just hours before the game started we got a phone call that Keri's dad was in the hospital in Colorado. He drives a truck over the road and, after not feeling good for a day or two, he ended up flagging down help on the side of the road because he thought he was having a stroke or heart attack. During the game I was getting updates from the hospital from Keri's sister. Once at the hospital, Delbert had a seizure and was taken by care flight to a larger hospital in Denver. Keri and Amy flew out first thing Friday morning and were there to care for their dad until he was released on Tuesday. After testing was done it was discovered that it hadn't been a stroke or heart attack but was a hypertensive episode combined with brain swelling due to extremely high blood pressure. (It's called PRES) He is recovering at home now and is almost back to normal. We are so thankful for the couple that stopped to help Delbert, and that Keri and Amy were able to fly up. It's a Friday night we won't soon forget.
