The second week of summer took us on a little tour of Texas. We made the rounds to see all our family and had a great trip! I love this picture of the little people on the road to Fort Worth. It captures all three kids perfectly-Addie reading and oblivious to the world, Doak dressed as Robin Hood with his blanket just hanging out, and Brock snoozing away the day!

Our first stop in Fort Worth was to celebrate the summer birthdays of some of our favorite girls. Makynna and Camryn had a joint birthday party and sweet Aunt Amy was so kind to include Addie in the festivities.

Happy birthday! Addie (7), Camryn (9), Makynna (7)

The party was held at a roller skating rink in Fort Worth. It brought back lots of memories of elementary school skate nights growing up! The kids had a great time skating, but I think the adults were the ones that loved it the most.
Brock spent most of the evening walking around with Nanna, playing on the race car video game, and eating ice cream with Pop Pop!

But I got a few snuggle from him too!

After the party we drove out and spent a few days with Amy, Bryan, Camryn and Makynna. The kids jumped on the trampoline and played outside and we also got to see Grandad and Ms. Kathy for a few hours.

Next stop was Hurst, where we played at parks, in Nanna and Pop Pop's backyard, and even in a little pool that Pop Pop got for the kids.

What a cool way to spend a hot summer day!
