Cookie and Papa came for a visit last weekend. We were so excited to show them around our new 'hood'.
We had lots of good quality time together and Keri and I even got to sneak away for a date Saturday night!
We went for walks and explored.
When the kids and I are walking if they see a plant, flower, or bird that we can't name, I always tell them that one of their grandparents would surely know it's identity. We found one that even stumped Cookie!
We walked to Addie's school to show them around and now they can picture us walking home from school each day, which includes a mandatory stop at the duck pond.
Cookie found the sweetest cowboy book for Doak and read it over and over to him.
When Doak found his construction worker vest and asked Papa if they could go on a walk (so he could direct traffic and be a crossing guard) Papa was happy to oblige.
We even got a little work done around the house including hanging new blinds, adding towel hooks and tp holders to the bathrooms, and getting a few pictures on the walls.
We can't wait for their next visit!
