Scrimmage #2 took us down another windy road, but one that I know well-we went right near our old Hawk school! It's always nice to go down a well traveled road.
The scrimmage was at 6pm, and I'm guessing the temperature was around 106. We came well prepared with ice water and umbrellas for shade. Being on the visitors side almost always means staring into the sun in the evening, which makes it awfully hard to watch the game!
We found some shade on the side of the bleachers, and these flexible kids kept themselves entertained. They didn't complain about the heat or ask to leave. It reminded me of what good kids we have! Addie dug in the sand and found lots of little treasures.
Brock played in his stroller and kept an eye on his big brother and sister.
Doak played with a little measuring tape and told me stories about locking bad guys up in jail with it : )
I love watching Keri interact with his players. It's so evident how much he loves the game, and more importantly, how much he loves his kids.
When the scrimmage was nearing its ending, I took the kids to the concession stand for a treat. And guess what? They had snowcones! Score! Addie and Doak both got purple-quite fitting for the Coyotes and Brock and I shared plain ice. Another great night cheering for Daddy and his boys!
