game 2

Game 2
RHHS vs. Arlington Seguin
WON 26-10

Addie enjoying the view from our comfy seats at the TOP of the stadium.

Me and Doak resting after the hike to the top! Our stadium was redone
this summer and the result is wonderful. But the stands are so TALL!
Let's just say that if you add the fact that I'm sadly out of shape with the
fact that I was hauling Doak's 30 lb body to the top the combination
was not good! I was exhausted and felt like my legs were made of Jell-O!
Thank goodness I had him in the ERGO carrier, that made it a little easier.
-----------------------------

The kids did really well during the game. They looked for Keri on the field,
cheered "doe Hawts" ("go Hawks" in Doak-speak), chased the multitudes
of crickets in the stands, and played with the Moss (head coach's) kids.
We also snacked on goldfish, peanuts, a sucker or two and
took 2 trips downstairs to walk around and stretch.

Addie sat with the Moss' oldest daughter Mary for the whole second
half of the game. She let Addie listen to her ipod, and if Addie told me the truth,
they listened to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on repeat for over an hour! ha!

Sweet Doak had his blankie out and snuggled with me most of the
second half but he never went to sleep. Here he is waiting on the
sidelines to greet Daddy and congratulate him on the season's first win!

Such cute pictures - and I just wanted to send a reminder your way - you are one great Mom - from a Mom that knows how much work a football game can be - but it is so worth it for the kiddos to see Daddy and Daddy see them after the game - it always fills my heart when they see each other! I know it makes a huge difference to Daddy and the kids to get to be at the games!

Yay for a win! That stadium looks awesome! And I can't tell-- are you carrying D in the Ergo in the front position or the side/hip position? I haven't used it in awhile but always did the hip. I guess I should experiment to see if the other might be better!

ooh, the hip position-I should try that! As I was strapping him on I thought, "hmm can I wear this on my hip?" but didn't have time to try it out! I usually do back carry honestly but I had my big ole backpack stuffed with all kind of kid paraphernalia so on the front it was!
