february fun

We had a great weekend and I have to share about it!

Friday was a wonderful day. Our friends Katy and Aislyn came over to play and have lunch. I love hanging out with Katy and Aislyn and Addie are becoming the best of friends. They are so sweet together. They both are into dressing up, playing with dolls, and being princesses so Addie is always thrilled when Ais comes over.

They great day continued when Keri pulled up in the driveway at 4:45! Woohoo! It was wonderful. We decided to take advantage of the fact that Keri was home early and have a yummy family dinner at Mc Alisters (thanks for the gift card Mom and Dad). After a great dinner we drove back toward home. Keri has students in his class that are gymnasts and they asked Keri to come to a meet sometime this year. There happened to be a meet Friday night at the school 2 minutes from our house so we stopped by on the way home. Doak had some wide open space to cruise around and Addie found some new friends to sit with and watched all the gymnasts with wide-eyed wonder. After watching for a while we headed home for bath time. Right as we were getting the kids out of the tub Cookie and Papa arrived! We were all so excited to see them.

Saturday morning the kids woke up bright and early at 6:30. We had cinnamon crunch bagels for breakfast, which is a new tradition I think, then we got down to some serious playtime.

Doak has a new fascination with the bumbo!

the princess put together this outfit all by herself and

check out the pose she struck for the camera!

the kids loved playing with Papa and Cookie

Doak has started joining in when Addie dances-aren't they sweet?

They all fall down!

We did a little shopping and then decided to try out the play area of a local mega-church.

It's alot like a mall play area-perfect for Doak and Addie's age and they loved it. After playing we grabbed some burritos at Chiloso's. They are delish!

The rest of the afternoon included napping, reading, and more playing.

Doak fell asleep on me and I had to hold him for a while before laying

him down because I know this doesn't happen often. (Addie is faking being asleep!)

Doak loves his new book about all types of transportation.

Late in the afternoon a quick trip was made up to the Hawk school to visit Keri at a track meet. He was there from 8-5 and it was freezing and windy! We only stayed 30 minutes and we were chilled to the bone, so I don't know how he stayed survived out there for so long! Saturday night Mom made us a wonderful dinner of her famous spaghetti and we put the kids to bed. Chad and Christi came out to the boonies to go to the movies with us while Mom and Dad stayed with the kids. We went to see Mall Cop and we laughed so hard-I loved it!

Today we all went to church and then to lunch at Cotton Patch. It was a great weekend and we loved seeing family and friends. Love you all! : )
