our precious child

The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.
-Pablo Casals

Addie is quite the talker. People always think she's older than she is because she speaks so well (and because she's tall). Here are a few of our favorite Addie-isms from the past month.

10. "maybe next year" We're still unsure where she heard this for the first time, but whoever taught her-THANK YOU! She accepts this much better than just plain no. Ex- "Mommy, can I have some more apple juice" "not today Addie, maybe next year". Or "Mommy can we go to Target?" "maybe next year Addie!" Works like a charm!
9. "I can't catch you!" Usually said in a squealing voice as she chases after me. I say "you can't catch me" and this is what she says back!
8. "Just a minute, I be right back." Usually said when trying to avoid washing her hands after using the potty.
7. "I can't hear you!" Usually said when she doesn't want to hear us.
6. "sank you" translation: Thank you! The best part is that she always uses your name when saying thank you. ie, thank you mommy, thank you daddy, thank you sir.
5. "You come to my new house?" Said most recently to Aunt Ami in Tennessee. She's not quite comprehending why Jeff, Ami, Kiran, and Ellery can't drop everything to come over and play!
4. "You're a jean-gus!" translation: You're a genius! I think Daddy taught her this one.
3. "flingamo" translation: flamingo
2. "I don't like coaches anymore, I just like football boys." Said after a trip to the coaches' office with Daddy.
1. "Where's the moon? I can't find it every where!"
and my personal favorite:
"I'm amazing!!!"

I agree Addie, you are one amazing little girl!

Sooooo cute! They do say the cutest things. :0)

People think M's quite a bit older too because of her vocabulary and ability to string a few coherent sentences together.
