our baby is growing up!

This weekend we started working on potty training-we've done a little trying here and there but Saturday I went all out and even let Addie wear real princess and Elmo panties! She has had 3 great days of using the potty and we're so proud. She is proud of herself too! She sits down with no complaints and is successful about 85% of the time. Keri and I have been known to cheer and dance for her when she uses the potty so now when she sits down she says, "go Addie, go. tee-tee in the potty" and laughs! Way to go big girl!

Another milestone is that she has stopped sucking her fingers! The first time we spotted her sucking her ring finger and middle finger on her left hand was when she was 6 months old. She had sucked them everyday since then until last weekend when I accidentally shut her hand in the door and her sucking fingers got a boo-boo. She struggled to go to sleep for the first few days after this happened because she was so dependent on those fingers! After a few days she started napping again and now over a week later with her finger healed up she still won't suck her fingers. It's the end of an era!

natalie,
it has been way too long! i think the last communication we had was when i got a photo/late holiday card in the mail announcing your pregnancy with addie... and now your little boy is on his way! i'd love to catch up sometime.
