Ellery's latest
Well, God is amazing! The days are all running together and I'm starting to lose track of what happened each day with Ellery and Ami. I do remember this though-Ami got to hold Ellery yesterday! Ami and Jeff were visiting Ellery and the nurse took out one of the IVs in E's umbilical cord, so the nurse asked Ami if she wanted to hold her. Can you imagine not being able to hold your baby for 3 days? What relief, what blessing it must have been to finally hold her! In other great news, Ami is being released from the hospital today. She and Jeff are trying to get a room at the Ronald McDonald house next to Children's so they can be close to Ellery and since they live about 35 minutes outside of town. Ellery should be released in about a week. She is no longer on any kind of oxygen, but will have to stay to have antibiotics for about 7-10 days. She also has been feed through her IV so she'll have to learn to suck and eat over the next week! Pray for Ellery and Ami as they try to establish a great breastfeeding relationship, pray for God to hold E in His arms and rock her, that she would feel His love and her family's love even though they can't hold her as much as they'd like!

Such a sweet baby girl! We will continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
Natalie!! I found your blog through some others that I read--we were in the Newlywed Class together at Bent Tree in Plano right before y'all moved! Rhonda & John--you might not remember us. (You gave me your awesome chocolate chip cookie recipe, that I still use all the time!)
I'm sorry to hear about the problems Ellery's been experiencing! But know that I'm added to the numbers of people praying for her and her parents.
Such a small world...how random that I found you on the web!
Oh, by the way--I'm due 12/8 with our second, too. Congrats!
I'm so glad that everything is goign well for baby Ellery and for Ami & Jeff. We will continue to keep ALL of your family in our prayers!
