Ellery update

Sweet Ellery is doing so much better! She started out life on a ventilator with 100% oxygen and the machine breathing for her about 50 times a minute. Last night she was down to 30% oxygen and the machine was only breathing for her 4 times a minute. This morning they turned off the ventilator and took the breathing tube out! Praise God. Jeff took Ami over to Children's Hospital and Ami got to see Ellery for the first time. They still can't hold her because she has a very fragile IV connected through her umbilical cord, but they got to snuggle up with her and spend some good time with her! Jeff said it was just what Ami and Ellery needed! Ellery is a beauty with lots of black hair, dark brown eyes, and a chubby little body! Quite the opposite of skinny little Kiran. Jeff said Ellery has cankles and whatever the wrist equivalent of cankles are called. She is resting well, breathing well, and is still getting nourishment from IV fluids. Thanks for all your prayers!

My parents have a wall hanging with this saying on it and it rings so true this week:

Our family is a circle of strength and love.
With every birth and every union, the circle grows.
Every joy shared adds more love.
Every crisis faced together make the circle stronger.
