Game 5 was another Thursday night game. The kids and I packed up and drove 40 minutes away to the opponent's stadium. Since we've never lived in Houston before and I don't leave our 'bubble' of a suburb often, most game nights are a test of my driving skills. This night we got close to the stadium, even on the correct street, but there was no stadium. My GPS did me wrong. Thank goodness my phone also had GPS and got us to the game in time!

Once we got seated Brock pulled out his cars and got busy playing. He would go all the way down the open row to the person seated at that end, look at the person and smile, and come back to me. Repeat x 1,000

Doak is most entertained by food at the game. He knows I pack treats and junky food and I guess he is afraid Addie or Brock will steal his share. Most of his food is gone by halftime! I am trying to teach him the rules of the game, how points are scored, about penalties, etc. He's very interested in the game and I like having a buddy to watch the game with me.

Addie socializes with the other coaches' kids, reads, or plays with toys. One friend has a leap pad and all the kids love it!

After a mustang touchdown these balls were thrown up into the stands. A sweet man near us gave his to Brock. He loved it!

I have accepted that this season I will not make it through a game. We went down under the stands during the 3rd quarter and the kids had a blast playing with Brock's new ball, searching for bugs, and climbing on stuff.

It was easy for me to run up the ramp to see the score of the game every few minutes. I noticed the same man standing near the ramp and knew he was a coach-he had 'that look'. He was scouting (meaning our mustangs play his team later in the season and he wanted to see how we play). Just like I knew he was a coach, he immediately recognized that I must be a coach's wife.

He kept me posted on big plays and the score and was so helpful.

After the winning game Keri was one happy guy. He loves seeing us all after the game and the kids always run and tackle him or jump into his arms.

Flying Brock!
