Brock is 9 months old

Brock is 9 months old!
This month he learned to wave, which he does anytime we get close to someone. His little personality is really starting to shine. Brock is very friendly and loves smiling and "talking" with anyone who will listen!



Brock is pulling up on me all the time and is trying to pull up on furniture too. He loves playing near his changing table-it's full of all sorts of things to pull out and throw on the ground!



He is beginning to crawl and I often find him underneath tables, beds, and his crib because he's scooting backwards non-stop! I need to work on clearing out the playroom of small toys, two times already I've found him with something small in his mouth!



Brock loves table food-this month his favorites were homemade spaghetti, spinach pasta toss, rotisserie chicken, and macaroni and cheese! He normally eats baby food fruit and oatmeal for breakfast with pieces of muffin, plain pancakes, or cheerios. For lunch he eats one jar of vegetables and/or fruit along with meat, cheese, cut up fruit or yogurt. Dinner is another jar of baby food plus whatever we're eating. This boy is a great eater so far! He still nurses 4-5 times a day and also has water with each meal. This month he took two bottles while I was away and it's so nice to know that's an option!



This sweet boy still loves his pacifier, although he typically only uses it when going to sleep or when he is upset at the church nursery. His favorite blanket always goes to bed with him. Brock takes two long naps each day and sleeps 11-12 hours at night. He typically wakes up one time during the night, but I'm no longer nursing him in the night. If he wakes up he gets a drink of water and some snuggles and is put back to bed.



All my kids love their Daddy, but Brock really lights up when he walks into the room! Brock has a bit of separation anxiety, and typically if I leave the room he lets me know that he would prefer I stay! When he is well rested and has a full belly he will sit and play by himself for good amount of time. But if he's getting tired or hungry he really doesn't want to be left alone!



Brock's hair is finally starting to grow and is coming in dark brown. He's sporting a mohawk here just to show how long it's gotten! I think his hair will be darker than both the other kids. Brock's eyes have changed from blue to hazel and I think they are so beautiful. He still has gorgeous long eye lashes and dark eye brows. Brock seems to favor Keri in coloring and features. He's so handsome!



Brock likes to play all over the house these days. He really likes being in the kitchen where all the action takes place and loves pulling off refrigerator magnets.
