We want to give a big shout out to Cookie who spent a week with us right after Doak was born. She pampered us and helped so much! Thanks Cookie for taking care of Addie, Keri, Doak, and me. I don't think we've ever been so well fed, so caught up on laundry, and so entertained-especially by your attempts to check your email! :) And thanks to Papa who survived the week as a bachelor so we could have Cookie here!
In other news . . . our precious little boy is sick! Addie was really sick last week. Two trips to the pediatrician and 4 meds later she's feeling great. But Doak has this terrible little cough. It's enough to make us relaxed "second timer" parents paranoid! I'm taking him in tomorrow morning for his 2 week check up and I will feel so much better when the doctor looks at him and says it's just a cold! So say a prayer for little Doak!

I will say a prayer for Mr. Doak!
We will say a prayer too! Hope the Dr. visit goes well!
OK Nat, it's time to take down the pregnancy ticker and be thankul that your pants stay up on their own now! :-)
Ashley, I've tried to change my ticker 4 or 5 times and I can't remember how to do it!!!!!! Anyone want to help a sleep deprived mama out??
Nat, sign into your blog and go to where you can customize your layout. Then click on the page element that has the pregnancy ticker and delete it...that should work. See you tomorrow!
I did it!
cookie is wonderful! praying for doak and all of you guys.
How scary! I can't imagine a sick infant. We're dropping by a childrens' party tomorrow so the girls can get a Santa photo, and J's all freaked out that 2-week-old Rosie's going to get SARS or something. :0)
About the diaper bag...I'm not super-crazy about it, but it takes me awhile to adapt to ANY change period. :0) For instance, I haven't even chucked the old bag yet! I just can't part with it yet. Too many memories.
The new bag seems a little small--but I'm sure I'll get used to the new compartment set-up soon enough. I just have to give it a chance. :0)
I'm shocked that I haven't had more bags with M, too. I just got sentimentally hooked to this one and couldn't part with it! But it's not even in good enough condition to donate--it's terrible!
Moms are wonderful, aren't they! I did laugh about her checking her email! I remember her having those same problems 5 years ago! I'm sure she's an awesome Cookie!
One more note about the diaper bag--it doesn't stand up on its own. Don't know if that's important to you or not, and it may just be that we have too much stuff in ours or the contents are not properly distributed, which is not likely since my hubby packed it and he's an OCD-Eagle Scout-engineering-major champion packer! :0)
