We're so excited that we are about to be blessed with baby Doak, but we realize that we only have a short while left with Addie as our only child. We've really been trying to do some fun things, nothing too special, just playing more and worrying less about things around the house! Today Addie and I met some friends at our favorite park and hung out!
That is wonderful - I wish we would have gotten more time with Maelynn - we had big plans - but bed rest and Beclynn coming early happened instead. I'm so excited for you guys - you are going to be great parents to two!!
She is so cute! How old is Addie? I'm trying to figure out how far apart I would like my kids. I know I want them atleast 2 years, but maybe more. I hope Addie adjust well as a new big sister! Tell your mom hi for me! I still think of her often as I teach.
Luckily, I don't remember how great I had it as an only child before Brad came along. I wouldn't have it any other way though. Addie is going to be SO good with baby Doak!
Amen, sister! And can I talk about my inner struggle with this for a moment? I don't know how you're doing it--I'm all crazy with irrational to-do lists before baby 2 comes 11/29, but at the same time I want to take lots of time to enjoy M as an only child, too. J's off next week for TG break, and all I can think about is all the "stuff" we have to get done rather than all the cleaning I should be doing for the new kiddo (and not to mention all the visitors and people bringing food by, etc!)...

Addie always looks so sweet in the pictures with her big smile! She looks like she will make a great big sister. You look fabulous by the way!
Bedrest kept me from that too...we did take her out to eat the night before (actually it was just hours before!)

You enjoy Miss Addie for the next few weeks! I always think about how much I'll savor Ava as an only child when the times comes for the 2nd.
It almost makes me sad, but then I think she'd be really mad if she didn't have siblings!
