Happy Hyperemesis Day!

Instead of celebrating Mother's Day this year I celebrated Happy Hyperemesis Day. This pregnancy has been a lot more difficult than my pregnancy with Addie and I've felt pretty sick since I found out I was pregnant. Last week it got worse and worse and Sunday I spent the day in the ER getting IV liquids for dehydration and some anti-nausea meds. I realized how much help I need and called for reinforcements. Mom came over Sunday night and drove me to my OB appointment Monday. After that Addie and I packed up a week's worth of clothes and headed back home with Mom. Keri has been so helpful when I'm sick, but he just can't take off anymore days and I'm having a hard time taking care of Addie alone on my really, really sick days. So Mom and Dad have stepped up and already life is much easier with their help. I'm on some meds and have a bland diet that should help a little, but hyperemesis can last a lot longer than regular morning sickness, so I'm in this for the long haul.

I'd love your prayers during this time!

you need to go to my friend Christine's blog. She has suffered terribly with hyperemesis! She has spent most of her pregnancy in the hospital. She came home last week and lost 11 pounds! She's 29 or 30 weeks. Her mom's blog "mimi" is on the left. She tells more about Christine's health. I am praying for you! Terrible! christinepinson.blogspot.com

Natalie, I will be praying for you! I hope you'll take me up on this...I'd love to come take Addie to the zoo with me and Ava to give you a day to rest after you get back home to the metroplex. After the wedding...we'll talk! I've got 2 carseats!

Bless your heart...it's crazy that 2 pregnancies can be so different from each other! I know having your parents help is a Godsend, but I will definitely be praying that you will find some strength these next few months!

Natalie, I'm so sorry. Just keep remembering that it will be worth it! I'm glad your mom is taking care of you. I sure do miss you, and Addie's cute little face too!
